Aims and Objectives
- To provide therapeutic, educational, stimulating and fun toys, books and equipment for the support, education and enjoyment of all children within the Wansbeck district.
- To promote social, community and educational skills by encouraging and developing quality play.
- To create family-friendly environments in which to deliver the service.
- To actively involve volunteers and to offer training for further development of the volunteers as well as the development of the scheme.
- To form partnerships and relationships with all other child-orientated services which work within the Wansbeck District, and to promote those services from the Toy Library premises.
- To continually evaluate and develop the service.
- To locate the Toy Library in a central, easily accessed area and offer an outreach provision to other areas of the district.
